RE: Create a destop icon containing desktop icons???

If you have Microsoft Office there is a program on the disk, called Microsoft Office Short Cut Bar. It installs an icon on your desktop which can contain a number of folders which you can name. You can then sort your program icons into each folder. I have used this for a number of years and it keeps your desktop clear and organized. Look for a file MSOFFICE.EXE

RE: Canada Government Question

Each territory has one or more MP's (member of parliament, who act as any other MP. The territories are a product of the Federal Government. Just as cities are product of the Provinces. They do not have all the powers that the Provinces do. In the last few years more and more powers have been given to them, to the point that if it continues they will be defacto Provinces. The primary issue is the division of powers between the Provinces and the Federal Government in the Constitution. There is no mention of either the Territories or Municipal government in the British North America Act.

RE: ETR Tolls

From what I know you will be treated as a commercial truck and you must have the transponder or face serious charges. I no longer even think of using 407.

RE: Extended Service Plan in Canada

Look at The Sovereign General Insurance Company. I had Secure RV on my MH, but they offer Secure Trailer. The company is owned by the Cooperators. Most Dealers sell it, as they get a sizeable commission for the sale. It is not cheap, and it retrospect I would not buy it again. The company was prompt on claims if made through an authorized dealer. But I paid $3,000 for two years coverage and made $1500 in claims. Make sure you note that it is a time and or mileage policy.

RE: 1999 Fleetwood Southwind 36T

I have the 1999 southwind 32V, with the F53 chassis and the Ford V10. I have no problems with the engine and can easily due 75 MPH if I want to. It is not noisy and has adequate power to climb I77 at Fancy Gap. It maybe that your weight is over the limit for this engine.

RE: Help, thinking of buying a 30 ft class A gas

I have had a 99 32' Southwind for 3 years. Great machine. Has one living room slide out. If I was to do it again I would like to have a bedroom slide out as well. Other than that 32' suits us just find.

RE: GPS or map?

I find a GPS particularly useful in finding an exact address, especially on a busy street when options to turn around are limited. Also at night I even use it in cities I am familiar with, but not sure of the location of the address. Saves a number of u turns.

RE: How Often Should Brake Buddy Operate?

It is my belief that it is not to operate very often. It is mostly an emergency and break away brake. If you MH can stop a 20,000 + LBS it surely can stop an extra 3,000 LBS. It was not meant to stop the MH. If it goes off to often you are just wearing out the brakes on the toad.

RE: Anyone driven a Class A from Calgary to Vancouver?

I would pass on a note of caution if you take the Coquihalla. The grades are quite steep and the cross winds can be extreme. You must be on your toes the whole time in case a gust takes you sideways. I drove it north to south and decided when I came back to come up through Kelowna and Vernon. Takes longer, but I found it alot less stressful.

If you want to avoid the heavy traffic I would go 401 to 115/35, north on 35 to 118 and then across to 11.
